Recently, the laboratory X-Tech SpA has set up a new instrument to execute the Absorption tests in vacuum conditions. The percentage of water absorption is calculated on three ceramic samples that have been broken from widely-separated parts of the selected appliance. That test  requires the use of special equipment to work in a controlled vacuum condition.
